Self Storage and Liability

When you rent a “self storage” unit, it’s basically like storing items in your own personal garage or basement. A self storage facility is simply providing a space for you to place your belongings in. At Lakeside Storage our contract states that we hold no liability for items stored inside any rented unit. If you are interested in having coverage on the items you are storing, we recommend looking into renters insurance or checking to see if your homeowners insurance would offer any coverage in the event of an incident.
